Can Australia provide fun for the whole family?

It is hard not to succumb to the green plains, rolling hills, hundreds of beaches and warm, wonderful, weather of Australia. And they are only a few of the many reasons why thousands of tourists visit each year.

The best family activities are not as conventional as other destinations. This is perhaps why it has the undeserved reputation of being not suited to children. The fact of the matter is that there are numerous experiences that the whole family can enjoy, so much so that you will be sorely disappointed at having to leave any one of them out. Let’s explore just a few of those experiences here.

Sydney isn’t all about the Opera House

There are numerous other attractions in Sydney and many are ideal for the whole family. Paying a visit to the Royal National Park or Centennial Park, for example. Children certainly, can enjoy interactive exhibits at the National Maritme Museum, Sydney Aquarium and Oceanworld Manly. There is also the impressive array of animals that reside in Dubbo Zoo or the wilderness of Uralla.

The hidden gems of the North

The Outback has a reputation for being exclusively dare-devil territory. However, if parents took the time to research what is available beforehand, they would find that there is far more to do than they first thought. Dining with the camels at breakfast is undoubtedly an experience that neither the parents or kids will forget. You can also take in a full view of the Outback from a hot air balloon. There are other more obvious activities such as hiking or bush-walking. The national parks offer an education in science in the midst of the fauna and flora.

Family relaxation at Queensland

Queensland can be very dynamic, certainly when you take its attractions into account. And a number of them are perfectly suited to children. They can revel in the beaches of the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast and take surfing lessons. Or you could take them on a stroll down to the beach markets. There is plenty to amuse them at the markets such as toys and arts and crafts. There is also Dreamworld and White Water World, attractions the entire family won’t want to miss.

There are attractions galore at Brisbane such as the Queensland Art Gallery, South Bank Parklands and Queensland Museum and science centre. Strolling the botanic gardens on roller blades is a relaxing yet fun activity. You may even be lucky enough to catch the glow worms over at North Tamborine.

There are some fine hotels in the land down under but many choose to visit for an extended stay and opt for rental accommodation. Homesales can help with this as it lists numerous rental properties for you to consider when planning your Australian family holiday.

Stay in Top Quality Inns

My husband and I are both backpackers, we are not jet setters.  We travel to see places and not to unwind and stay in luxurious hotel all day. So mostly we stayed in cheap but quality inns and hostels, which are  less expensive and very comfortable to stay and sleep.

This hostel or inns can be mostly found in the busiest part of the city, in down towns or around the places where most tourist go. The good thing too most of this hostels/inns has restaurant which is either below or in the roof top of the hostel where you can order either local food or other cuisine. Most of them also has internet room or provide free wifi inside your rented room.
