Our plane ticket to Georgia is already book and we have about ten hours stopover in Shanghai. So we are planning to get a visa in the airport once we arrived in Shanghai so we can go out and do a little sight seeing. Hopefully everything will be okay because it is quite boring to wait inside the airport until our next flight.
Shanghai is the most developed city in mainland China and a popular shopping destination as well as attractive city among tourist. You can buy local items to high end brands without hassle either you are budget shopper or bargain hunter. I have heard the city main shopping areas are divided into two categories, the Four Shopping Streets and the Four Shopping Cities.
There’s a lot of places to visit in Shanghai but this solely depends on how long you are going to stay in the city and what are your interests. My husband and I are interested to visit temples so hopefully we could visit any of this popular temples while we are on layover, the Jade Buddha Temple, Jing’an Temple and Longhua Temple.
The Shanghai Museum on the south side of People’s Square is a must see for us as it has impressive collections like ancient bronze.
